The short version
Closeout Kit does not have an account system, analytics, or a product database. Packet contents stay in your browser, encrypted with a passphrase only you know.
Data stored on your device
Packet data is encrypted with AES-GCM using a key derived from your passphrase, then stored in IndexedDB. The passphrase is held only in memory while the workspace is unlocked. We cannot read or recover either one. License tokens and a daily verification result are stored in localStorage.
Data sent over the network
The app shell and generated harbor artwork are served from this product’s origin. If you buy or restore Studio, your browser sends the license token to the Sociobot billing API to verify that it is active. Packet contents and your passphrase are never sent with that request.
Exports and links
HTML exports are intentionally readable files for your client. Encrypted JSON backups require the packet passphrase. Links in a packet go directly to the systems you supplied; those systems have their own privacy policies.
Deleting data
Use “Delete packet” in the Export stage, or clear site data in your browser. Clearing site data removes packets and license state from that browser.
